The Apple Watch, the Calendar and the Alarm Clock called a meeting about how busy women are. Then they noticed who else had been invited.

Apple Watch is in all white and very pleased with herself. Calendar is in florals and faintly motherly. Alarm Clock is in red with a New York accent and is sick of getting blamed for everything. The Moderator is trying to keep order. They have gathered to discuss a group of humans who need them most, and it turns out to be women.

In the back, in black robes, sits the Death Knell.

SYNOPSIS

In Before the Bell Tolls, the meeting starts as a squabble. Who gets blamed for the weather. Who gets blamed for the seasons. When the Moderator finally steers them toward women and how full their days are, the group's first instinct is to blame the women right back.

Then they land somewhere better. Alarm Clock offers to set reminders to pray. Calendar offers to mark out time for God. Apple Watch offers to point women toward prayer and Bible apps. And then the Moderator explains why the Death Knell was invited. The bell rings once, and the whole meeting changes shape. Nothing on the calendar is going to matter if the life was spent busy instead of spent loving God.
