A woman stands at a wall, moving the pieces of her life around, trying to get them to line up. The middle school years. Her family. Her husband's job. Her in-laws. She has rearranged them a hundred times and they still don't fit.
Her friends come one at a time to help. None of them can put it back together.
The Broken Pieces is an original Christian skit written exclusively for Loving Christ Ministries. Four women, an imaginary wall, and almost no props at all, which makes it one of the simplest skits in the whole catalog to stage.
The Broken Pieces was written for the theme bundle Putting Pieces Together and pairs beautifully with any message about brokenness, restoration, and trusting God with the parts of our lives we can't fix ourselves.
SYNOPSIS
In The Broken Pieces, help arrives in three forms and none of it works. The cheerful friend means well and keeps putting her hand on the tender pieces. The counseling friend answers every confession with another question and leaves her closer to tears than when she started. The Pharisaical friend spots the one small piece labeled church and begins to judge. Every woman watching will recognize at least one of them, and some will recognize themselves.
The judgment gets cut off before it lands, and the woman is finally told the truth: what she needs is the master artist. She worries she doesn't deserve his help after what she's done to his artwork, and she's told it was never about deserving. So she calls him herself, names the piece she's been holding, and the four women close the skit speaking together.
