Three friends walk into Heavenly Delights. Rachel and Sarah are delighted. Emily hangs back, certain she has walked into a place she doesn't belong. Mrs. Sweetly points to the sign by the register. A Gift of Love, No Payment Required.

The Sweetness of God's Love is an original Christian skit written exclusively for Loving Christ Ministries. Four women, one candy shop, and about four minutes start to finish, which makes it the shortest and easiest skit in the collection to pull off.

The Sweetness of God's Love was written for the theme bundle How Sweet He Is (recognizing the beauty and grace of God within us and accepting His love as the sweetest gift of all).

SYNOPSIS

In The Sweetness of God's Love, Mrs. Sweetly hands each woman a golden ticket and explains that it stands for a love nobody earned. Emily admits that God's love feels too big to know what to do with, so Mrs. Sweetly gives her a piece of chocolate and tells her to take it one sweet bite at a time.

That does what the explaining couldn't. Emily confesses she has spent years trying to earn something that was always a gift, and lands on the line the whole skit is built toward: it isn't about how worthy she feels, it's about how worthy He says she is. Then she notices that even the shopkeeper's name has been telling her the truth the whole time.
