Beth prayed for patience and then lost her temper with her mother-in-law anyway, and she would like somebody to explain that. Helper 1 pulls up her file. May 3 and May 7. Both received. Across the stage, Tammy calls the same line to admit she hasn't prayed in six months and isn't sure it would help if she did.
Two different women, two different complaints, one answer.
Love Him Back is an original 5-minute Christian skit written exclusively for Loving Christ Ministries. Four women and two phone calls running side by side, with a punchline both callers walk straight into without seeing it coming.
Love Him Back was written for the theme bundle Fall in Love with Jesus and pairs beautifully with any message about God's love, prayer, and what it looks like to love Him back.
SYNOPSIS
In Love Him Back, Beth wants God to fix her mother-in-law and her kids, and Helper 1 keeps asking how she thinks God actually fixes things, which is not what Beth called for. Meanwhile Helper 2 walks Tammy back to a college Bible study where she first understood God's love and decided to love Him back, and stayed with that decision through lost friends, a changed major, and a car wreck.
The two calls converge. Helper 1 tells Beth that God is using the friction with her mother-in-law rather than removing it, and that we get to love Him back with our lives. On the other side of the stage, Tammy works out the same truth mid-sentence about her own family and says, "I see what you did there." Both calls end at once, Beth gets summoned because somebody needs salt, and the two helpers high-five.

Four women, all on stage: two callers and two helpline operators. Performance time is approximately 5 minutes, and two or three run-throughs will do it. The helpers stay seated at their table the whole time, which makes those two parts easy on anyone who would rather not move around.

No sound cues, but the skit does use lighting to move back and forth between the two calls. That is the only tricky part and the script marks exactly where the handoffs fall. You need two cell phones, a small table, and either landline phones or headsets for the helpers.
