Still - Christian Skit

She hasn't heard from God in a long time. The waiting room is about to show her why.

Niki is sitting at the end of a row of chairs in a waiting room, and she isn't sure she belongs there. Brittany hasn't been off her phone since she sat down. Susan is scrolling through pictures of her pugapoo, Frappe, posing at the Eiffel Tower. Jessica is wiping her eyes and doing her best to ignore all of it.

Every woman in that room is waiting for the same thing. They all want to hear from God again.

Still is an original Christian skit written exclusively for Loving Christ Ministries. It runs about 5 to 6 minutes and needs nothing more than five chairs, a partition, and a simple office set up on the other side. Your women will laugh at Brittany's phone calls and Frappe's travel photos, and then they'll start to see a little of themselves in that waiting room.

Still was written for the theme bundle God Speaks Still and works with any message about hearing God's voice, being still before Him, and trusting Him when He seems quiet.

SYNOPSIS

In Still, Angela, an angel dressed in all white, calls Brittany into her office first. Brittany asks if someone else can go, because she really has to take this call. So Niki goes instead. About a year ago, Niki and her husband prayed about selling their house and never got a clear answer. Ever since, God has felt far away. She kept praying and kept listening, and all she heard was silence.

Angela gives her two things to consider. The first is that Niki isn't a brand-new believer anymore, and God doesn't need to spell out every detail for her. He's asking her to trust Him. The second is waiting on the other side of the partition, where Brittany, Susan, and Jessica are still too caught up in their own noise to notice anything else. That's when Niki finally sees it. God never stopped speaking. Sometimes we need to be still to hear Him.

Run Still right before your teaching on hearing God's voice. By the time you open to Psalm 46:10, your women will already be asking themselves what has been drowning Him out.

The one thing worth practicing is the background chatter, so Brittany and Susan know when to lower their voices for Angela and Niki.
